Well, I'll Have Another won the Preakness Saturday and so we have another chance at having a Triple Crown winner if he can win the Belmont Stakes in 2 1/2 weeks in New York. Bodemeister's trainer said that he won't run in the Belmont. But one of the Kentudky Derby pre-race favorites skipped the Preakness to run in the Belmont - Union Rags. So we'll see if I'll Have Another can be the first horse in over 30 years to win the Triple Crown.
Since 1919, only eleven horses have won the Triple Crown, including the fabled Secretariat in 1973:
Sir Barton (1919) Gallant Fox (1930) Omaha (1935) War Admiral (1937) Whirlaway (1941) Count Fleet (1943) Assault (1946) Citation (1948) Secretariat (1973) Seattle Slew (1977) Affirmed (1978)

Sports Headlines - 14 June 2012
1st perfect game for Giants, only 22nd in history - 27 up, 27 down for pither Matt Cain. For all those Giants masterpieces, pitched by Christy Mathewson to Juan Marichal and Gaylord Perry, Matt Cain topped them all. He pitched the franchise's first perfect game and the 22nd in major league history, striking out a career-high 14 and getting help from two spectacular catches to beat the Houston Astros 10-0. Cain's 125-pitch gem for San Francisco featured a pair of great plays by his corner outfielders. He got pinch-hitter Jason Castro on a grounder to third for his 27th and final out with the sellout crowd of 42,298 roaring. "This is incredible right now," Cain said. "It was unbelievable. The guys did a great job making it, in a way, kind of relaxing, because they were able to get on the board early." Oh, BTW, it was the fifth no-hitter in the majors already this season and second perfect game. Another Year of the Pitcher? Yep.

1. [/img]Serena Williams absolutely dominated Maria Sharapova 6-0, 6-1!! And has become only the 2nd woman after Steffi Graf to win the career Grand Slam titles and Olympic singles gold medal. And she still has the double with Venus for that gold medal (it would be their 2nd). It was a pleasure to watch Serena after the match literally hopping up and down and dancing for joy!!
